NORTH IOWA COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT

North Iowa Community Credit Union has taken and will continue to take any action necessary to protect the privacy and financial security of our members.  To continue to assure the confidentiality of our members personal financial information, North Iowa Community Credit Union follows these practices:

North Iowa Community Credit Union collects information from our members in the following ways...

  • Information we receive from membership applications, loan applications, product/service applications, etc.  This information may include, name, address, phone number, social security number, account number and assets and income information.
  • Information about your internal transactions with us through our software including, but not limited to, account numbers, account balances, balance history, payment history, credit card information, and debit card use.
  • Information we receive from other reporting agencies such as credit reporting agencies and collection agencies.

Under new federal regulations, we are allowed to disclose information we house internally to the following types of businesses:

  • We may disclose information to companies that provide financial services to North Iowa Community Credit Union such as our internal processors, credit card processors, and Electronic Transaction providers.
  • Information may be disclosed to any other financial institution that may provide marketing services on our behalf or with whom we have a joint marketing agreement.
  • Other information may be disclosed pending circumstances provided by law.

To continue to assure our members that their financial privacy is of the utmost importance, North Iowa Community Credit Union follows these security measurers:

  • We restrict access of nonpublic information about our members to only those employees who may need to know that information in order to provide products or services to our members.
  • We do not sell member lists to any "non-affiliated" party for their use in marketing their own products or services.
  • All member information that is transmitted via phone lines for Electronic debits or credits, ATM transactions, On-Line banking transactions, etc are encrypted while passing through the phone lines.
